Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Chippendale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (438 males or 19.5%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (242 males or 10.8%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (220 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 900 males in total or 40.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Centennial Park - Moore Park employed 19.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 5.8% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 10.8% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Chippendale and Centennial Park - Moore Park were:
