Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken at home by children aged 12 to 17 years in the City of Swan in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Swan shows that there was a larger proportion of people who spoke English only, and a smaller proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 75.4% of children aged 12 to 17 years spoke English only, and 20.1% of% spoke a non-English language, compared with 71.5% and 23.2% respectively for the total population in the City of Swan.
