Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Sutherland Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (17,958 females or 31.0%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (14,133 females or 24.4%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (7,962 females or 13.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 40,053 females in total or 69.0% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Yowie Bay employed 33.6% in Professionals; 25.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 11.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Sutherland Shire and Yowie Bay were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (13.7% compared to 11.5%)
