Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Burraneer in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (253 people or 12.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (228 people or 11.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (218 people or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 699 people in total or 34.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Alfords Point employed 11.3% in Construction; 8.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Burraneer and Alfords Point were:
