Analysis of the household/family types in Planning area 1 in 2021 compared to Shoalhaven City shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 23.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.7% were one-parent families, compared with 21.0% and 10.3% respectively for Shoalhaven City.
There were a similar proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 26.4% compared to 26.5% in Shoalhaven City while the proportion of couples without children was 28.5% compared to 31.7% in Shoalhaven City.
