Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale in 2021 compared to Greater Perth shows that there was a lower proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a similar proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 5.7% of the female population earned a high income, and 38.3% earned a low income, compared with 8.3% and 37.9% respectively for Greater Perth.

The major differences between the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale's female individual incomes and Greater Perth's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (12.8% compared to 11.3%)
