Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Salisbury in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (4,966 males or 14.4%)
  • Manufacturing (4,580 males or 13.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (3,325 males or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 12,871 males in total or 37.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Mawson Lakes employed 11.1% in Construction; 9.9% in Manufacturing; and 7.7% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Salisbury and Mawson Lakes were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (14.4% compared to 11.1%)
