Dominant groups

Analysis of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander five age groups in the City of Ryde in 2021 compared to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in New South Wales shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (0 to 14 years) as well as a lower proportion of people in the older age group (65+ years).

Overall, 24.1% of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population in the City of Ryde was aged between 0 and 14, and 5.9% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 33.3% and 6.5% respectively for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in New South Wales.
