Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Baldivis in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,401 people or 13.0%)
  • Retail Trade (1,768 people or 9.6%)
  • Construction (1,744 people or 9.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,913 people in total or 32.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Safety Bay Ward employed 12.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.4% in Retail Trade; and 10.6% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Baldivis and Safety Bay Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in mining (9.0% compared to 7.5%)
