Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Coastal Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (2,037 people or 12.3%)
- Construction (1,864 people or 11.2%)
- Retail Trade (1,660 people or 10.0%)
In combination, these three industries employed 5,561 people in total or 33.4% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Baldivis Ward employed 12.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.6% in Construction; and 9.6% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Coastal Ward and Baldivis Ward were:
