Dominant groups

The size of Rockhampton Regional Council's labour force in low income households in 2021 was 2,396, of which 999 were employed part-time and 458 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status of people in low income households (as a percentage of the labour force) in Rockhampton Regional Council in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a lower proportion of people in low income households in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 67.7% of the labour force was employed, and 32.3% unemployed, compared with 73.2% and 26.8% respectively for Regional QLD.

Analysis of the labour force participation rate of people in low income households in Rockhampton Regional Council in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (25.2%) compared with Regional QLD (24.7%).
