Dominant groups

Analysis of the share of people in low income households attending educational institutions in Rockhampton Regional Council in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a higher proportion of people in low income households attending primary school, a higher proportion attending secondary school, and a lower proportion engaged in tertiary level education.

Overall, 9.8% of the population were attending primary school, 7.5% of people in low income households were attending secondary institutions, and 2.7% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 8.9%, 6.8% and 3.8% respectively for Regional QLD.
