Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in the Mount Morgan District in 2021 compared to Rockhampton shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 3.6% of the population earned a high income, and 47.3% earned a low income, compared with 9.6% and 32.2% respectively for Rockhampton.

The major differences between the Mount Morgan District's individual incomes and Rockhampton's individual incomes were:
