Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the population in the RDA Northern Territory in 2021 compared to Unincorporated NT (ex. Nhulunbuy and Alyangula) shows that there was a higher proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), as well as a higher proportion of people with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 48.2% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 38.8% had no qualifications, compared with 44.6% and 33.3% respectively for Unincorporated NT (ex. Nhulunbuy and Alyangula).

The major differences between qualifications held by the population of the RDA Northern Territory and Unincorporated NT (ex. Nhulunbuy and Alyangula) were:
