There were more female community and personal service workers in Limestone Coast region in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Limestone Coast region in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,905 females or 19.4%)
  • Professionals (2,651 females or 17.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (2,635 females or 17.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 8,191 females in total or 54.7% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional SA employed 20.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 18.3% in Professionals; and 17.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Limestone Coast region and Regional SA were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (12.8% compared to 11.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (19.4% compared to 20.8%)
