Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in the RDA Limestone Coast Region compared to Regional SA shows that there was a lower proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.1% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.8% for Regional SA.

The major difference in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Limestone Coast region and Regional SA is:

  • A larger percentage of males aged 80 to 84 (21.5% compared to 20.4%)

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance between 2016 and 2021 in Limestone Coast region were in the age groups:
