Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 48.0% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 42.3% had no qualifications, compared with 49.5% and 40.4% respectively for Regional QLD.

The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region and Regional QLD were:
