Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a lower proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 5.0% of the female population earned a high income, and 37.6% earned a low income, compared with 5.6% and 36.6% respectively for Regional QLD.

The major difference between the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region's female individual incomes and Regional QLD's female individual incomes is:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned $400 - $499 (10.8% compared to 10.0%)
