Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 20.4% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 19.2% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.1% and 18.7% respectively for Regional QLD.
