Dominant groups
Analysis of the household/family types of non-English speakers in City of Port Phillip in 2021 compared to the total population in City of Port Phillip shows that there was a higher proportion of non-English speakers in couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 33.5% of non-English speakers were in couple families with child(ren), and 8.9% were one-parent families, compared with 29.1% and 7.2% respectively for the total population in City of Port Phillip.
