Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural East in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (140 people or 18.5%)
  • Managers (133 people or 17.6%)
  • Professionals (129 people or 17.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 402 people in total or 53.2% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Playford employed 14.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 9.0% in Managers; and 10.5% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rural East and the City of Playford were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Managers (17.6% compared to 9.0%)
