Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Playford in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (4,363 females or 23.5%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (3,618 females or 19.5%)
  • Professionals (2,604 females or 14.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 10,585 females in total or 57.0% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 18.7% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 19.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 27.4% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Playford and Greater Adelaide were:
