Dominant groups

The size of the City of Playford's labour force in low income households in 2021 was 4,225, of which 1,615 were employed part-time and 727 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status of people in low income households (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Playford in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that there was a lower proportion of people in low income households in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 62.7% of the labour force was employed, and 37.3% unemployed, compared with 70.2% and 29.8% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
