Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken at home by the population of Elizabeth Vale in 2016 compared to the City of Playford shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, and a larger proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 69.5% of the population spoke English only, and 21.8% spoke a non-English language, compared with 80.9% and 12.4% respectively for the City of Playford.

The dominant language spoken at home, other than English, in Elizabeth Vale was Nepali, with 8.9% of the population, or 318 people speaking this language at home.
