Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Smithfield in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (103 females or 27.1%)
  • Retail Trade (61 females or 16.1%)
  • Administrative and Support Services (32 females or 8.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 196 females in total or 51.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Playford employed 26.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Retail Trade; and 6.4% in Administrative and Support Services.
