Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Eyre in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (47 males or 14.8%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (41 males or 12.9%)
  • Construction (36 males or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 124 males in total or 39.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Playford employed 13.8% in Manufacturing; 9.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 15.4% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Eyre and the City of Playford were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (12.9% compared to 9.8%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (10.4% compared to 7.8%)
