Analysis of the housing tenure for people reporting a need for assistance in the City of Playford in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that there was a smaller proportion of people with a need for assistance in households who owned their dwelling; a larger proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a larger proportion who were renters.

Overall, 21.8% of people reporting a need for assistance were in households who owned their dwelling; 31.0% were purchasing, and 44.1% were renting, compared with 38.4%, 25.0% and 31.8% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
