The three largest ancestries in Elizabeth East in 2016 were English, Australian and Scottish.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Elizabeth East in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • English (1,867 people or 42.1%)
  • Australian (1,526 people or 34.4%)
  • Scottish (315 people or 7.1%)
  • Irish (300 people or 6.8%)
  • German (212 people or 4.8%)

The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Elizabeth East and the City of Playford were:
