Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Shire of Plantagenet in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (596 people or 25.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (232 people or 10.1%)
  • Education and Training (181 people or 7.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,009 people in total or 43.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional WA employed 9.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 11.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.6% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Shire of Plantagenet and Regional WA were:
