Dominant groups

The size of the Shire of Plantagenet's labour force in 2011 was 2,302, of which 873 were employed part-time and 1,253 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in the Shire of Plantagenet in 2011 compared to Regional WA shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 94.4% of the labour force was employed (55.3% of the population aged 15+), and 5.6% unemployed (3.3% of the population aged 15+), compared with 95.6% and 4.4% respectively for Regional WA.
