Analysis of recent overseas arrivals attending educational institutions in the City of Perth in 2021 compared to Greater Perth shows that there was a lower proportion attending primary school, a lower proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.

Overall, 3.2% of recent overseas arrivals were attending primary school, 1.6% of the population were attending secondary institutions, and 34.8% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 9.8%, 6.2% and 19.5% respectively for Greater Perth.

The major differences between the share of the recent overseas arriving population attending learning institutions in the City of Perth and Greater Perth were:
