Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Perth South West in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (25,309 females or 23.7%)
  • Education and Training (15,843 females or 14.9%)
  • Retail Trade (11,652 females or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 52,804 females in total or 49.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Cockburn employed 24.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Education and Training; and 10.7% in Retail Trade.

There were no major differences between Perth South West and City of Cockburn in 2021.
