Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Perth South West in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (16,478 males or 14.6%)
  • Mining (11,499 males or 10.2%)
  • Manufacturing (10,459 males or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 38,436 males in total or 34.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Perth employed 14.3% in Construction; 9.9% in Mining; and 7.4% in Manufacturing.
