Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in St Clair in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,131 people or 11.9%)
  • Construction (1,077 people or 11.4%)
  • Retail Trade (1,068 people or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,276 people in total or 34.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Penrith City employed 13.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.0% in Construction; and 10.0% in Retail Trade.
