Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Orchard Hills in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Education and Training (65 females or 16.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (51 females or 13.2%)
  • Retail Trade (44 females or 11.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 160 females in total or 41.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Cambridge Park employed 11.0% in Education and Training; 23.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 14.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Orchard Hills and Cambridge Park were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (16.8% compared to 11.0%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in construction (8.0% compared to 2.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (13.2% compared to 23.7%)
