Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Emu Plains in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (502 people or 13.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (488 people or 12.8%)
  • Education and Training (453 people or 11.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,443 people in total or 37.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Penrith City employed 12.0% in Construction; 13.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Emu Plains and Penrith City were:
