Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of Penrith in 2021 compared to Orchard Hills shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 13.6% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 19.1% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 14.2% and 21.5% respectively for Orchard Hills.

The major differences between the female age structure of Penrith and Orchard Hills were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 25 to 29 (11.1% compared to 5.2%)
  • A larger percentage of females aged 30 to 34 (9.1% compared to 4.1%)
