Dominant groups

Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born Non-English speakers speaking population of the City of Parramatta in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Parramatta shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who arrived before 2010, and a larger proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 and 2021).

Overall, 52.1% of the overseas born Non-English speakers speaking population arrived before 2010, and 29.3% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 54.8% and 27.3% respectively for the total population in the City of Parramatta.

The major differences between the year of arrival data of the Non-English speakers speaking population of the City of Parramatta and the total population in the City of Parramatta were:
