Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in North Rocks in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (596 people or 14.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (455 people or 11.2%)
  • Education and Training (426 people or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,477 people in total or 36.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Parramatta employed 14.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of North Rocks and the City of Parramatta were:
