Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Happy Valley in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (806 males or 28.3%)
  • Professionals (420 males or 14.8%)
  • Managers (381 males or 13.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,607 males in total or 56.5% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Onkaparinga employed 27.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 13.4% in Professionals; and 12.7% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Happy Valley and the City of Onkaparinga were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (8.1% compared to 6.4%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (14.8% compared to 13.4%)
