Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Hills South District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (623 people or 13.7%)
  • Construction (495 people or 10.9%)
  • Manufacturing (485 people or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,603 people in total or 35.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Onkaparinga employed 18.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.8% in Construction; and 7.1% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Hills South District and the City of Onkaparinga were:
