Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Reynella East in 2011 compared to the City of Onkaparinga shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 29.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.4% were one-parent families, compared with 30.9% and 12.4% respectively for the City of Onkaparinga.

There were a similar proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.5% compared to 23.0% in the City of Onkaparinga while the proportion of couples without children was 30.5% compared to 27.5% in the City of Onkaparinga.
