Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Reynella East in 2016 compared to the City of Onkaparinga shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 27.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.2% were one-parent families, compared with 29.4% and 12.7% respectively for the City of Onkaparinga.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 29.5% compared to 23.8% in the City of Onkaparinga while the proportion of couples without children was 29.0% compared to 26.5% in the City of Onkaparinga.
