Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Moana in 2021 compared to Christies Beach shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 31.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.5% were one-parent families, compared with 18.6% and 16.4% respectively for Christies Beach.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 22.3% compared to 31.6% in Christies Beach while the proportion of couples without children was 29.4% compared to 22.6% in Christies Beach.
