Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the City of Onkaparinga in 2021 compared to South Australia shows that 91.1% of the households owned at least one car, while 5.2% did not, compared with 88.7% and 7.0% respectively in South Australia.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 34.1% of the households owned one car; 37.4% owned two cars; and 19.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.1%; 35.0% and 18.5% respectively for South Australia.
