Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Onkaparinga compared to Port Noarlunga shows that there was a similar proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 7.9% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 8.2% for Port Noarlunga.

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Aldinga Beach and Port Noarlunga were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 5 to 9 (7.7% compared to 2.0%)
  • A larger percentage of persons aged 65 to 69 (9.4% compared to 5.5%)
