Dominant groups
Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born Non-English speakers speaking population of the Northern Beaches Council in 2021 compared to the total population in the Northern Beaches Council shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who arrived before 2010, and a larger proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 and 2021).
Overall, 60.7% of the overseas born Non-English speakers speaking population arrived before 2010, and 23.0% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 69.6% and 15.4% respectively for the total population in the Northern Beaches Council.
The major differences between the year of arrival data of the Non-English speakers speaking population of Northern Beaches Council area and the total population in the Northern Beaches Council were:
