Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Warringah Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (10,642 people or 13.0%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (10,057 people or 12.3%)
  • Construction (7,784 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 28,483 people in total or 34.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, North Narrabeen employed 11.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 11.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 14.2% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Warringah Council area and North Narrabeen were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in financial and insurance services (6.9% compared to 4.4%)
