Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Warriewood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (434 females or 21.0%)
  • Education and Training (312 females or 15.1%)
  • Retail Trade (242 females or 11.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 988 females in total or 47.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Narraweena employed 21.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.0% in Education and Training; and 13.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Warriewood and Narraweena were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (15.1% compared to 12.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in retail trade (11.7% compared to 13.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (2.4% compared to 4.0%)

The number of employed females in Warriewood increased by 171 between 2016 and 2021.
