Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Narraweena in 2021 compared to Manly Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 37.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.2% were one-parent families, compared with 32.6% and 6.8% respectively for Manly Council area.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 25.2% compared to 23.6% in Manly Council area while the proportion of couples without children was 19.9% compared to 28.0% in Manly Council area.
