Number of bedrooms per dwelling

reset

In 2021, dwellings with 2 bedrooms were the most common amongst recent arrivals in the Northern Beaches Council.

The Number of Bedrooms in a dwelling is an indicator of the size of dwellings, and when combined with Dwelling Type information, provides insight into the role the Northern Beaches Council plays in the housing market for recent arrivals.

Areas with large student populations among their recent arrivals may have many single bedroom dwellings or bedsits, particularly with purpose-built student accommodation. Families may live in dwellings with larger number of bedrooms.

In combination with Household Type and Household Size, the Number of Bedrooms can also indicate issues around housing affordability and overcrowding among migrant communities.
